Get listed for hire

Models for Hire is a directory of Siriverse models that businesses search when they need someone: a brand shooting a campaign, an event company staffing a stand, a shop that needs clothes worn, a photographer casting a look.

We make the introduction and that is where we stop. We do not book the job, set or negotiate your rate, hold the money, or take a cut of what you are paid. Once you accept an enquiry, the client is yours to deal with directly.

A listing is not a guarantee of work. Being on the board makes you findable by people who are looking. It does not promise you a job, and the joining fee does not buy you one.

How it works

1. You finish three things — your details, the agreement, the joining fee — and your card goes up on the board.
2. A business browses the board and filters it by job type, city, rate and size. Anyone can look; only a signed-in client can send you anything.
3. A client sends an enquiry to you specifically — dates, job type, location, budget and a short message. It reaches you on Telegram and as a push notification.
4. You accept or decline it. Accept, and you each get the other’s contact details and carry on directly. Decline, or leave it, and nothing of yours is shared.

The photographs

Three photographs a client casts from

Casting happens from photographs, long before anyone meets you. The set below is what a client expects to find — the three shots an agency calls digitals. One outfit, one plain wall, no styling and no retouching: front, side, and full body.

• FrontSquare on to the camera, from about the waist up. Arms down, shoulders level, a neutral face. This is the shot that has to still look like you on the day.
• SideThe same distance, turned to one side so your profile reads cleanly against the wall. Hair back off your face and ears.
• Full bodyStanding straight with your whole body in frame, feet included. Barefoot or flat shoes, so your height reads honestly.

What makes the set usable

• One plain, pale, unbroken wall. A bedsheet taped up works.
• Daylight in front of you — stand facing a window, never with the window behind you.
• Fitted plain clothes in one colour: a vest top and jeans. Nothing loose, nothing printed.
• Hair tied back, little or no make-up, nothing in your hands.
• Camera at chest height, held by someone else. No mirror shots, no filters, no beauty mode, and never a crop that cuts your feet off.

Nothing here is checked, scored or required. Add them from your profile whenever you have them — nobody is taken off the board for not having them, and one clear photograph is enough to have a card.

Building a clean profile

Your card on the board is short on purpose, and every line of it is something you set. A client scrolling past a hundred cards reads the photograph, then the rate, then the sizes. Here is what each line is, and what makes it good.

Your photograph

Most of the card. The board only shows a card with a real photograph of you in it, so a logo, a group shot, a picture of somebody else or a heavy filter leaves your card off the board altogether. One clear, recent, well-lit portrait is enough to be on it.

Your name

The name you want a client to put on a call sheet. Spelled the way you spell it — not a handle, not all lower case, no emoji.

Your age

Taken from your Siriverse profile, and the board lists 18 and over only. If the date of birth on your profile is wrong, correct it there and the card follows.

Your city

The cities you can actually turn up in. This is what the city filter matches, so a city you cannot reach is an enquiry you will have to decline. Spell it plainly: Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu.

Your day rate

You set it, it is public, and it is in KES for one day. We never adjust it and we never quote on your behalf. Put the number you would say yes to without renegotiating.

The work you take

Tick only the job types you would genuinely accept. Ticking all seven does not widen what reaches you so much as it widens what you have to turn down, and a model who declines everything comes off the board.

Your sizes

Height, bust, waist, hips, dress and shoe, printed on one line under your rate. Measure them; do not estimate. They are checked at the fitting, and a number that is out by five centimetres is found out on the day instead of before it.

The Enquire button

A client’s only way to reach you. There is no phone number on your card and there never will be — your details are released when you accept one specific enquiry, and not before.

Leave these out

• Phone numbers, emails, Instagram handles or WhatsApp links in any field. They are not printed, and that is not how a client reaches you.
• Photographs that are not of you, or that you do not have the right to use.
• Sizes you are working towards rather than the ones you have.
• A rate you do not mean — high to look expensive, or low to look easy.

What it costs

The listing fee buys 30 days on the board. This is a service fee, not a deposit. It is not refunded and it does not come back as coins — it pays for marketing the models we list to brands in Kenya.

It runs for 30 days. To stay on the board you pay it again for the next 30 days; there is no automatic renewal, so nothing is ever taken without you approving an M-Pesa prompt. Stop paying and your card comes off the board — nothing is deleted, and you can put yourself back.

After you are listed

Enquiries reach you on Telegram and as a push notification, not in an inbox you would have to remember to open. One tap accepts, one tap declines. An enquiry nobody answers expires on its own after 48 hours.

Every 30 days we ask you once whether you are still available for work. One tap keeps your card up. No tap and it comes off the board until you tap — nothing is deleted, and you put yourself back.

You can switch Available for work off in your details whenever you want to stop being found, and switch it back on the same way.

What you will be signing

One agreement, signed once. It covers three things: that your photographs and details are your own and accurate, that you consent to your contact details being released to a client when you accept that client’s enquiry, and that you answer the enquiries you get. Consent is given enquiry by enquiry rather than once for everyone, and you can withdraw it from your profile at any time — which ends the listing and nothing else. The wording itself lives on the agreement step, and you read it in full there before you sign it.
